Keith L. Spence is a candidate for Judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County in the Marth 20, 2018 Democratic primary election. He is the principal attorney with the Law Office of Keith L. Spence. He practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense, domestic relations and real estate. An experienced litigator, he has extensive practice in both state and federal courts throughout the state of Illinois. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar.
Attorney Spence is a former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and has sat as Administrative Law Judge in the Villages of Matteson and Dolton. He has trained corporate executives and human resource directors in Title VII and the American with Disabilities Act. He was the lead defense attorney in the first extended media coverage case in Cook County history: People v. Timothy Jones.
From the south side of Chicago Attorney Spence attended Percy L. Julian H.S., Southern Illinois University and earned his J.D. in 1999 from The John Marshall Law School after working over a decade in broadcasting as Executive Producer with ABC/WLS-AM. He is admitted to the bars of the Northern District of Illinois in both the Eastern and Western divisions. Attorney Spence is a member of the Cook County Bar Association, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is married with 2 sons and lives in Matteson, IL.
